This sample SLO uses JoAnn Rutkowski's Singing Voice Development Measure as a measurement tool to record the progress of young children who are developing their singing voices. The unique aspect of the rating scale is that it measures use of the singing verses speaking voice and does not measure the child's ability to sing in tune, which developmentally, comes after the child demonstrates access to his or her singing voice.
